How does GlobalLink GO count words?

Words served is the total number of translated words delivered to your website's visitors. It equals the number of words on a page multiplied by the number of times that page was loaded in a translated language. For example, if you have a page with 500 words, and the translated version is visited 10,000 times, you would have 5,000,000 words served. We don't charge extra for features or machine translations.

How many words do I need?

Our handy tool, will help you estimate how many words your site may use.  We'll analyze your site to get a count of the source words on your website.  We then estimate your translated traffic to calculate the approximate words served you will likely need.  Adjust the assumptions to see how it impacts your estimated words served.  Our pricing is based on large numbers and represents value to the customer.

Why do you factor in delivered words rather than just the source words?

First, this best represents the value we provide to you. Your objective is for visitors to see your website in their preferred language, which is precisely what words served measures. Second, it reflects our costs. Our servers scale to accommodate traffic, so more traffic means higher costs for us. Our pricing is simple, and the tiers are based on the value delivered.

What payment methods do you accept?

Is there a free plan?

We offer a Free Trial for 30 days or 500,000 words served, whichever comes first.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. You can sign up for the free plan without a credit card, but a credit card will be required to upgrade to a paid subscription tier.

What happens if I go over my words served limit?

You won't be charged overages if you exceed your words served threshold. Your website will continue to be translated to avoid a degraded customer experience. If you expect your usage to continue at this rate, we suggest that you upgrade to a suitable tier. If it's a one-off, you don't have to upgrade your subscription. Monitor your words usage on your dashboard to help settle on the right long-term plan. If your account persistently runs over the threshold, we may throttle your translation delivery.

How does the translation work?

After injecting the JavaScript into your site, the content is automatically detected, and we connect with the best neural machine translation tools to provide highly accurate translated content that appears instantaneously. New content will also be detected and translated on-demand. For more control, easily edit the translations directly on your site with our in-context editor.

Can I change my plan anytime?

Yes, you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Downgrades and cancelations take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Upgrades take effect right away, and you pay the difference between your current subscription and the new plan. Since we provide all features at every tier and do not charge for exceeding your word limit in a given month, your experience will not change mid-month.
